Editorial Policy
How Briefroom Journal selects, produces, and maintains its editorial materials.
Editorial Scope
Briefroom Journal publishes editorial case reviews within a defined and consistent scope: executive presentations and corporate communication practices in Canada. All materials published on this platform fall within this cluster. We do not publish materials on topics outside this scope.
Topics are selected based on their relevance to the editorial cluster — their capacity to illuminate the structure, logic, and conventions of executive communication in Canadian corporate contexts. We do not select topics based on commercial relationships, audience traffic optimisation, or the interests of any external party.
Nature of Our Materials
All materials published by Briefroom Journal are editorial and informational in nature. They are not:
- Financial advice or investment recommendations
- Professional consulting, legal, or business advisory services
- News reporting in the journalistic sense
- Promotional or sponsored content
- Opinion columns or advocacy
Our case reviews describe and analyse observed patterns in executive communication. They are written from an analytical and documentary perspective. Readers should not interpret our materials as guidance for their own professional decisions.
How Materials Are Produced
Editorial materials are produced by the Business Coverage Team. Patterns described in our reviews are drawn from editorial observation of publicly available material on corporate communication practices. We do not cite proprietary documents, internal corporate records, or confidential sources.
When exact data or verified figures are not available, we use neutral and general descriptive language. We do not invent statistics, fabricate case studies, or attribute practices to named organisations unless those attributions can be supported by publicly available sources.
Accuracy and Updates
We aim for accuracy in all published materials. When we become aware of an error in a published review, we correct it promptly and note the correction. When the broader context of a topic changes in ways that materially affect the accuracy of a published review, we update the review and note the date of update.
Each published article carries a publication date and, where applicable, an update date. Readers should check the dates on any article before relying on its content.
Independence
Briefroom Journal is an independent publication. We have no commercial relationships with any corporate organisation, consulting firm, professional association, or media group that affect our editorial decisions. We do not accept sponsored content, advertorial placements, or paid editorial coverage.
Mentions of organisations, communication formats, or corporate practices in our reviews are made for editorial and illustrative purposes only. They do not constitute endorsement of any organisation or its practices.

The following types of content will not be published on Briefroom Journal under any circumstances:
- Financial advice, investment recommendations, or market commentary
- Content that names or impersonates real media organisations, television channels, or corporate brands as the publisher of this content
- Content promoting financial products, services, or applications
